How to use this calculator

  1. Enter gross income, user-entered deductions, flat tax rate (%).
  2. Choose a display currency, then select Calculate. Results also update after a brief pause while you edit.
  3. Read the result with the assumptions below. Export details or save a second scenario to compare your choices.

Formula and method

Taxable income = max(0, gross income − deductions). Estimated tax = taxable income × entered rate. After-tax income = gross income − tax.

Assumptions and limitations

This is a flat-rate mathematical scenario, not a progressive tax calculator or a filing tool. Enter verified applicable rules yourself. Credits, caps, exemptions, social contributions and jurisdictional treatment of deductions are excluded.

Worked example

Gross income of 50,000 less deductions of 5,000 leaves 45,000 taxable. At an entered 10% rate, estimated tax is 4,500.

What the result means

The result preserves the original flat-rate task with accurate labelling. Country and tax-year calculators require separately verified rule sets.

Common questions

Which country is this for?

None. It is generic arithmetic using your own rate and deduction amounts.

Does this apply progressive tax bands?

No. A single entered rate applies to all modeled taxable income.
